Erik Boman

Erik Boman has extensive specialist experience in construction law, including the Swedish construction industry's standard forms AB 04, ABT 06, ABK 09 and ABM 07. He gained this experience through roles as a construction lawyer, in-house counsel and general counsel at various construction companies, and as a board member of BKK (Byggandets Kontraktskommitté, the Construction Contracts Committee), which publishes the standard forms.

Through his work as general counsel, as a member of group executive management and in board roles, Erik Boman has gained broad and in-depth experience of companies, group management teams, corporate functions and line management. He has extensive board experience as a director, chair and secretary, and has managed and structured corporate governance matters in large groups as well as small and medium-sized companies. Through his roles as managing director of real estate companies and head of specialist business units, Erik also has operational management experience beyond that normally associated with the role of general counsel.

Erik Boman has acted as project manager in complex transactions, disputes, crisis-management initiatives and business development projects. These have involved leading and coordinating multiple legal disciplines, complex commercial considerations and corporate support functions (finance, HR, procurement, quality and environment), including acquisitions, closures, disposals, business development initiatives and turnarounds.

In education, training and operational governance, Erik is passionate about making difficult and complex subject matter clear, compelling and action-oriented in support of commercial value, efficiency and profitability. A guiding principle is to create simple, attractive processes, practical tools, quick-reference guides and information materials (legal design) that gain traction and drive compliance throughout the organisation.
